LiveCycling App Reviews

Excellent

Easy to use, very clear and large displays on my iphone 6S. The heart rate is captured from my Suunto belt (nice surprise) and shows a color code depending on how high you reach during your effort. I would give a 5 star under the following condition: a programmable BEEP signal when you reach a value of heart rate you could established in the set-up as an alarm.

Best cycling app

Regular user of this app for years, enjoys it a lot... (Thanks for fixing the IOS 9 compatibility!)

good application

some improvement ideas: - would be beter if we can edit total life time distance in history. - only street map view support, some times good to have satallite view in off-road routes.

Nice.

There is a lot to like about this app. Its easy to upload a workout via email or social network, and I do love the fact that the charts are accessible immediately, which is great for those that want to work on their cadence or spinning. Most of the display is easy enough to read while outside, though I do wish that the distance and workout timer were bigger. Still, a solid program.

Very nice

Very nice app for cycling. Large easy to read fields while on the bike. Set up was easy. Ive tried them all for my Wahoo Fisica bike rig and this is my favorite!

Good, reliable

This is a very full-featured app. The TCX export works very well with sites like Strava. The display layout is by far the easiest to read among various apps Ive tried. Some features I would like to see added would be customizable heart rate zones and the ability to screen lock so that the display wont kill the battery on rides longer than 3 hours.

Does not connect to Ant+, extremely hard to view in daylight

I was excited to try this app with my new Fisica bike mount, my ANT+ HR monitor, and speed/cadence sensor. The interface looks beautiful and well done. Sadly, the app does not appear to connect to my ANT+ sensors. I tried terminating the app and re-launching but still none of the readouts indicated valid readings. I know that there is nothing wrong with the sensors / Fisica hardware because things work with a different app that I tried, PulseZone. Further, the display is virtually impossible to read in direct sunlight, and is very difficult to read on a cloudy day. This app has lots of potential and I will gladly re-rate positively as soon as the ANT+ connection issue is addressed, and as soon as the display is modified to be extremely high-contrast for daylight use (i.e. Black on White with no other color is what I suggest).

Do not forget to press record button!

This is by far the easiest to read app while riding and that makes it the best app if you want to look at it while riding. If you cant read this in direct sunlight then theres no way youre reading anything else on your phone because this is as high contrast and large font as it gets. The graphics dont just look cool, they make it obvious what stat youre looking at. iMapMyRide can display even more stats but the icon representing what the stat is is tiny & you need to spend more time looking at the phone to figure out what the stat means. The colorful spinning crank is obviously cadence, etc. I like that you nit only see your heart rate but you also see a big color coded number indicating your heart rate zone. The inky stats it doesnt show are ride time and distance. If you record youre ride youll see that afterwards. So this is the wrong app if you want to ride 15 miles or 30 min & turn back. Heres the biggest unintuitive pain about this otherwise great app. Ivwas excited to see an odometer feature. You can configure this for multiple bikes and I think with a separate odometer for each one. I dont have to press record to make the odometer in my car work or to make any cheap bike computer work so it didnt occur to me to press record to get it to record my ride. I felt like an idiot at the end of a 25 mile ride with no history or stats to show. All the other apps have a big green start button so its obvious to push it. With this app you must remember to push record. So is it worth $12.99? If you want to keep your eyes on the road instead of staring at your iPhone while doing 20 mph trying to figure out which tiny number is what then yes, this is the fastest& easiest reading dash &in less than a second I know my speed, cadence & heart rate. Keeping my eyes on the road is worth it to me. If you wont look at it until the end if the ride then Wahoo Fitness & iMapMyRide are both free& let you post your stats.

Best cycling app out there!

This app is hands down the best app for the cycling data guru. The display is great in all light levels. The auto pause feature when you stop is awesome. The easy to use interface works great at keeping me from getting lost. Also, the odometer for multiple bikes is great. Some of the cons have more to do with the fiscia sensor than the app itself. I noticed that if you have a Bluetooth and take a call or turn it on or off while the app is running it disables the ant+ sensor and requires a restart of the app. Other issue is battery life. There needs to be a way to disable the screen when on those long rides. Total battery time is about three hours on a full charge.

Great Graphics

Ive used a number of cycling apps and found this to provide the information I need with crisp, easy to read graphics. Frequent -working- upgrades a plus.

Most compelling cycling app.

I have bought about a dozen of the top cycling apps and this is hands down my favorite and best looking of all… probably one of the best looking apps no matter what category. Extremely well thought…. large numbers of whats important; uploads to common sites. Eventhough some people love absence of colors, color do make a difference, especially in your HR Zone - gray, blue, yellow, orange and red. Youll know where you are with just a glance. I would add customization to the fields like what you have in the Garmin Edge 800 to split speed and cadence on the top and display miles in a large number for the rides where distance is more important - that would make it even better. Latest version is stable and has not crashed or locked up. A very nice feature is the ability to add routes but I havent found how to add them without connecting the Phone to iTunes via USB. If you have a Wahoo case, this is the app to get. Clean, beautiful, useful. Note regarding daytime visibility: it helps if you add an anti-reflective screen protector to the CASE (not the phone) until Apple makes a trans-reflective iPhone screen or uses some other future technology. In the mean time, the screen protector works better than the reflective case screen. Several companies make generic shields that you can trim to fit.

Loses Data

This app has a great deal of potential but is just not polished. It has randomly deleted two of my last three rides just after pressing save. Very frustrating.

Great cycling computer, but…

If all you want is a cycling computer to stick on your handlebars, this will do the trick. However if you want to upload your data to Strava or export your ride data, look somewhere else. The app exports somewhat inaccurate data and its Strava integration doesnt work. I contacted the developer and basically was told while they are aware of the issues, they arent doing anything about it. So if you want a great looking app that will track your cycling data, this is probably one of the better ones, however if you plan on doing anything with your data outside of the app you probably want to look somewhere else.

Please, Insertion current time viewing.

I loved Live Cycling. Thanks you for the many times. But!!! Sometime I want to be know current time during the riding. But system state bar has very smaller. A few days ago, I could be look for the time during the riding and awhile fallen my bike and many crashes my bike and I. This happened give the felling that so many dangerous. Live Cycling Program team. Please, Please Increase and addition current time view by large display between the one screen.

BLE Chest Strap

Great app!!! I have the Wahoo BLE chest strap. Connected easily, as far as your other "LiveTraining" App it does not work with my Wahoo chest strap & I paid $9.99 for it. Please fix it ASAP!!

English version

The app looks cool but I cant find any website for compatible devices the only place it sent me is to the developer website which is in Chinese or Japanese

Working good

Please update iOS 9.0 Its clash after I update iPhone

Crashes with iOS 9

This app no longer appears to be supported and crashes with iOS 9.

Clear and concise life cycling

It tells you the speed and cadence while riding your bike without flipping back and forth. I really rare pay for an app but this is really worth for every penny you pay.
